Easy Like Sunday Morning

There are so many things I love about Denver, but the thrift stores definitely top the list. After hearing the A.R.C. was having a 99 cent sale, I woke up on Saturday with a mission. ALL summer items - tank tops, short sleeve shirts, capris and shorts for under a dollar!

I was pleasantly surprised when the cashier gave me all my dresses for 99 cents too!

Dress (A.R.C.) $0.99
Chinese Laundry Wedges (Goodwill) $5.99
Saks Fifth Avenue Clutch (Mountain Thrift) $4.99
Sunglasses (Rainbow - retail) $2.99

  1. I found your blog because you liked one of my photos on IG. I was intrigued by your screenname (is that the proper term?) And followed you. This is my first visit to your blog because I just HAD to find out if Mile High meant Denver. I'm pleasantly surprised that not only are you from Denver, where I will be moving in one month (SO EXCITED), but you're a big thrifter, as am I. There are 26 Goodwills in Denver and we plan to see them all! ARC is pretty good too but I've only been in there once. I love the GW in Stapleton. It's like a huge Marshalls!

Anyway, super excited to have found your blog. I'll be following along now :)

  2. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog! It's a work in progress and I actually don't own a computer so I have to be creative at times. A HUGE welcome to Denver! There are definitely a few thrift secrets you should know. I'll try to make this short cause I could easily chat your ear off. One of my favorite stores is The Mile High Thrift Store, there are two locations, but I prefer the one on Sheridan. They don't have long hours, but they have some great designer labels and a 50% off sale every Saturday. Another great store is Mountain Thrift on Alameda. I believe they are housed in an old skating rink. Depending on what your style is, they can be really great! They have a mix of designer and vintage clothes so I've found some of my most unique items there. I think their prices can be steep on certain items so I generally shop the sales. They have certain tags marked down everyday, but their largest sales are Saturday, when all but one color tag is 50% off, and Sunday when one color tag is $0.99. In addition, when you go there, sign up for their rewards program, it pays off for sure! Denver is such an amazing city with so much to enjoy and explore if you ever need a partner in crime or a tour guide, let me know, I'm more than happy!
